Talisman of the Star Cluster Pleiades

“Under the constellation of Pleiades, they made the image of a little Virgin, or the Figure of a Lamp; its reported to increase the light of the eyes, to assemble Spirits, to raise Winds, to reveal secret and hidden things”
- Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Bk II, ch 47

“Fennel seed with frankincense and quicksilver placed under a crystal with the character shown protects the light of the eyes, gathers daimons and spirits of the dead to come and speak and makes [the wearer] to know of secret and hidden things.”
- The Book of Hermes on the 15 Fixed Stars

Let me start off by thanking Christopher Warnock and Nigel Jackson from Renaissance Astrology site for finding this election.

The election for the star cluster Pleiades had the cluster from 9:45PM through 10:30PM on Friday September 19th, 2008.

I performed a sortilege divination after learning of the election which showed the operation would be an unequivocal success.

Materials

The creation and consecration of the Pleiades Banner used a number of materials which are not normally part of my altar setup. These items were:

  • Seven white 7 1/2″ taper candles
  • Frankincense essential oil
  • Frankincense incense
  • Blue marbled cotton fabric
  • Lumiere Metallic Silver acrylic paint
  • Fennel seeds
  • Frankincense
  • Quartz crystal
  • Mercury switch
  • Paint brushes and stencils

The banner was obviously sewn from the cloth. A pocket was incorporated and a pouch was made to contain the Fennel seeds, Frankincense, Mercury switch, and Quartz crystal. The pouch then fits in the pocket in the back of the banner, giving a talisman with all the ingredients as specified by Hermes. The brushes, paints, stencils, and other components except the banners themselves were blessed before the creation process and ritual. The seven white candles were anointed with Frankincense essential oil to make them a better offering.

Initial Creation and Consecration

The initial consecration started at approximately 9:45PM.

The black and white candles were lit, followed by the lamp.

The ritual was opened with the Prayer of Joseph the Visionary

The charcoal was lit for the burning of the incense, and blessed using the Exorcism of Fire.

Frankincense incense was then burned on the charcoal, and refreshed whenever the smoke began to wain throughout the ritual.

The cloth was then sprinkled with blessed water and consecrated with the following:

Be ye present to aid me, and may my operation be accomplished through you; ZAZAII, ZALMAII, DALMAII, ADONAI, ANAPHAXETON, CEDRION, CRIPON, PRION, ANAIRETON, ELION, OCTINOMON, ZEVANION, ALAZAION, ZIDEON, AGLA, ON, YOD HE VAU HE, ARTOR, DINOTOR holy angels of God; be present and infuse virtue into this parchment, so that it may obtain such power through you that all names or characters thereon written may receive due power, and that all deceit and hindrance may depart therefrom, through God the Lord merciful and gracious, who liveth and reigneth through all the ages. Amen.

Psalm 72
Psalm 117
Psalm 134
Benedicte Omnia Opera

I conjure thee, O Cloth, by all the Holy Names, that thou obtainest efficacy and strength, and becomest exorcised and consecrated, so that none of the things which may be scribed upon thee shall be effaced from the Book of Truth. Amen.

The seven white candles were lit.

The stencils were then applied to the cloth.

The Invocation of the Pleiades was then recited and the banner was painted.

The sigil of the Pleiades from Hermes was then drawn over the banner in blue flame and visualized merging into the banner.

I followed this by a time of meditation on the Pleiades image (shown below).

The Pleiades and the angel Zizaubio were thanked and the candles were extinguished in the reverse order they were lit in.

The creation and blessing of the Pleiades banner all took place during the elected time between 9:45PM and 10:30PM.

Daily Consecrations

The PleiadesAfter the initial creation and consecration seven additional daily consecration rituals were performed, for a total of eight rituals in all. After the final ritual the seven white candles were allowed to burn down completely.

The daily consecration rituals were performed each morning at various times. The ritual itself consisted of the following procedure:

The black and white candles were lit, followed by the lamp and the nine green candles.

The ritual was opened with the Prayer of Joseph the Visionary

The charcoal was lit and blessed using the Exorcism of Fire.

The blessed Frankincense incense was burned and more applied to the charcoal as needed.

The Invocation of the Pleiades was recited.

The sigil of the Pleiades from Hermes was then drawn over the banner in blue flame and visualized merging into the banner.

A time was spent in meditation on the Pleiades image (shown above).

The Pleiades and the angel Zizaubio were thanked and the candles were extinguished in the reverse order they were lit in.

The Pleiades are a star cluster that spans a decent amount of space in Taurus. At my location at the times indicated the Pleiades are rising not culminating. Elections need adjusted based on location to work properly.
